If we can't recover the data you're after, you don't pay the recovery fee. You approve a file list from the clone before any charge, so you always know what you're paying for. A modest evaluation deposit may apply for physical cases requiring cleanroom work — we'll tell you up front, before you send anything.

No. Clicking usually means the read/write heads have failed and are contacting the platters. Every power-on causes more physical damage to the surface where your data lives. Unplug it, stop trying, and let us image it on controlled hardware.

Yes. We image each member drive individually, then reconstruct the array's geometry — stripe size, order, parity rotation — from the images, not the live controller. That means a failed or half-finished rebuild doesn't cost you the parity we need to reassemble the volume.

SSDs are handled at the controller and NAND level, including chip-off when the controller is dead. Encrypted volumes (BitLocker, FileVault, LUKS) are recoverable when you can provide the password, recovery key, or keyfile — we recover the encrypted container and decrypt with your credentials. We never attempt to break encryption you don't own.

Every device is logged under a documented chain of custody from intake to return. Recovered data is handled only by the assigned engineer, returned on encrypted media, and securely wiped from our systems after you confirm receipt. NDAs are available for sensitive corporate and legal cases.
